the Tiger Nuts, which we import from Occidental Africa, and which
are treated in accordance with the BIO-agricultural rules and regulations,
the same as the Valencia Tiger Nuts.
In general the demand for ORGANIC foods, has
increased worldwide.
The consumers concern for healthier food and
environmental damage is at an ever high.

What is an Organic food?
ORGANIC farming is a different
concept of the present industrial agriculture. ORGANIC foods are
obtained through ecological growth, it means, from the ORGANIC farming
and livestock. It is considered ORGANIC foods when throughout the
whole cultivation process, no fertilizers, herbicides or pesticides
have been used. Neither will the fields used have been treated prior
with such products.

Reasons for the consumption of ORGANIC products.
1. THEY ARE HEALTHY
ORGANIC products are healthier because them are free of toxic
wastes coming from pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, which
in a medium or long term could hurt our organism. Cultivating
the foods in well-balanced lands, with natural fertilizers, the
products are more nutritive.
2. THEY DON`T HAVE GMO (ORGANISM GENETICALLY MODIFIED)
In the ORGANIC farming
the organisms genetically modified (GMO) are not allowed. The cultivation
of GMO could have negative consequences for the environment. The
ORGANIC farming wants to conserve and motivate the genetic variety
of species and types, and with that, the richness of the cultivation
landscape.
3. THEY ARE SUSTAINABLE WITH THE ENVIRONMENT
When we consume foods

water, and the air. The ORGANIC agriculture is the most respectful
with the fauna, this generates lowest contamination of aerosols,
produces less carbon dioxide, prevents the greenhouse effect
and it doesn’t generate toxic wastes. In the cultivation
and production of the products the maximum of renewable resources
is usable as well.
The ORGANIC farming fertilizes the land and stops the desertification,
this benefits the retention of water and doesn’t contaminate
the aquifers, favouring the biodiversity and ecologic balance,
promotes the natural fertility in the lands, recycles the nutrients
incorporating them of the land again like compost or organic fertilizers,
and uses in an excellent way the natural resources.

traceability from the land to the table as indicated in the
European Rules 834/2007. Because of that, all the agents that
intervene in the agro alimentary chain are subject to a control
and inspection of raw materials.

products, on having been elaborated in a sort of handmade way,
regain the original tastes and intensify the flavour. This way,

certified by an authorized control organism that guarantee the origin
of the ecological agriculture, it means, everything have been produced
with no pesticides, no preservatives, no organisms genetically modified

In Europe, the production, the manufacture, the labelling
and the system control of the ORGANIC products are regulated
by the norm CEE 834/2007.
We at Tigernuts Traders, S.L., have already been preparing
our lands for ORGANIC cultivation for a long time. Now, and
by means of the recognized Institute fur Marketecölogy (IMO)
from Switzerland, and the German company ECOCERT, we have the
certification of the BIOLOGICAL tiger nuts with the aim of
offering products of high quality and healthy to our customers.
